George Nader, a former member of Donald Trump's transition team, pleaded guilty to charges of child sex trafficking and possessing child pornography.

Nader admitted transporting a 14-year-old boy from the Czech Republic to Washington, D.C., in 2000 to engage in sexual activity with him. He also admitted possessing child pornography depicting infants or toddlers, AP reported.

The pornography charge carries a 10-year mandatory minimum sentence. As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors have recommended a 10-year sentence, though the judge will be free to impose a significantly longer sentence if she chooses. Nader will be sentenced in April.

Nader was a witness in Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. The Mueller Report details Nader’s efforts to serve as liaison between a Russian banker with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin and members of Trump’s transition team.
