More than 3,000 adoption applications have come in for Mr. B, a 26-pound tabby cat, at Morris Animal Refuge.

A 26-pound tabby cat that has gone viral for his astounding size has thousands hoping to give him a forever home.

Mr. B was initially posted Aug. 22 by Morris Animal Refuge. His rotund figure captured the attention of many on social media.

"OMG, big boi Mr. B is a CHONK," a tweet from the Philadelphia nonprofit read. "He's a chonk of a chonk. He redefines the term."

Less than a week later, the organization announced that more than 3,000 applications have come in for Mr. B. According to a post, the shelter said Mr. B is currently in a foster home, which could become his forever home.
