The infant was found by her father at 5:15 p.m. after she was left in the vehicle for an unknown amount of time, Garland Police said.
"We're trying to determine how much time passed by from the time the child was placed in the vehicle until the time was found in the vehicle by the father," Lt. Pedro Barineau told WFAA.
The father drove through the car wash and was vacuuming when he discovered his daughter's body in the backseat, WFAA reported.
No charges have been filed.
The incident remains under investigation.
