A Maryland man is accused of jabbing a woman with a syringe last week at a grocery store, authorities said.

Thomas Byron Stemen was arrested Tuesday and charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, WTTG reported.

According to Anne Arundel County police, Stemen was caught on surveillance video Feb. 18 at Christopher’s Fine Foods in Churchton, the television station reported.

The woman told police she was leaving the store when she was poked with the syringe, WBAL reported.

Police positively identified Stemen and arrested him, WTTG reported.

The woman said she spoke with police and store officials and told them Stemen said “I know, it feels like a bee sting, doesn’t it?” the television station reported.
