A Canadian man who was missing for nearly 30 years has been found after he had a flash of memory.
Edgar Latulip, who had developmental delays and functioned at a child's level, was 21 when he was reported missing. He walked away from a group home in September 1986, The Waterloo Region Record reported.
His mother had given up hope of seeing her son again.
Last month, a man started to remember parts of his past, giving a name to his social worker.
Police confirmed with a DNA test that the man with no memory was Latulip, The Waterloo Region Record reported.
Police think that Latulip lost his memory because of a head injury after a bus trip to Niagara Falls.
He has yet to be reunited with his family.
