Terrance J. Lambert, 24, of St. Louis, was charged Saturday with refusing to obey the signal or direction of a firefighter, a class-A misdemeanor, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
Firefighters said they were trying to put the fire out, but Lambert, who owned the car, thought they were working too slowly and began punching two of them, KMOV reported.
Video from a bystander and also from a television crew from the A&E show "Live Rescue," show one of the firefighters tackling Lambert to restrain him, the Post-Dispatch reported.'
"This guy is hitting all of us," one firefighter said on camera, the newspaper reported.
St. Louis Fire Capt. Garon Mosby said the man's car caught fire after landing on the sidewalk after a crash, KDSK reported.
Lambert was arrested and was released Monday after posting a $1,000 bond, the television station reported.
