According to CTV, Bon Truong of Edmonton, Alberta, came forward this week to claim his $60 million prize (about $45 million U.S.) about 10 months after his longtime numbers – 2-3-4-8-9-20-30 with bonus ball 45 – hit the Lotto Max jackpot on Oct. 26.
Truong told the Western Canada Lottery Corp. that he learned of his win the next morning.
"I went to the store and asked the clerk to print off the winning numbers – just to be sure," he said in a WCLC news release. "I took the printout home and stared at the numbers and my ticket for hours that day. I could not believe it!"

Truong, who initially was overwhelmed, said he needed some time to ensure that he and his family "were all ready and prepared" for the changes in store, according to the release. Now, he plans to "pay off everything," buy a new house and save for his family's future, he said.
"After those big, main things, I'd like to take my family on a holiday," Truong told the WCLC. "I'm not sure where just yet; I think we'll try to go everywhere!"
