Tyler Smith and Heather Brown, both 17 years old, have been friends since fourth grade.

They decided to swim offshore in Vilano Beach but became stranded 2 miles off the coastline for two hours.

The teens started to worry that they might not make it, as they became weak and held each other up as much as they could.

They began to pray

“I cried out, 'If you really do have a plan for us, like, come on. Just bring something.'” Tyler said.

Then, the crew of a boat sailing from South Florida to New Jersey spotted the teens in distress.

“I started swimming towards it. I was like, 'I’m going to get this boat. Just stay here. I’m going to get this boat. We are going to live.'” Heather said.

Their prayers were answered in the form of a boat named The Amen.

The men in the boat brought the teens onboard and brought them safely to shore.

The teens say they thank God and the men who saved them.

“There’s no other reason, no other explanation in the world other than God,” Tyler said.
