Robert Walls was wanted by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office as part of a drug investigation, authorities said.
As deputies were surrounding a house Thursday, Walls left wearing the wig, hoping he would not be recognized. Walls told investigators he knew he was being sought by authorities and wore the wig in an effort to elude them.
Walls was arrested and charged with solicitation to sell a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy, according to jail records.
"DO NOT wear a hideous wig while trying to run from the Po/Po on a bicycle," the Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
Investigators said 100 other people were also charged as part of the investigation.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.
