Mark DesErmia lost a necklace on Siesta Key beach when he was 16.

Since then, he has found more than 1,000 rings, including a Purple Heart ring and a 1967 Stanley Cup ring that belonged to a star player, over about 25 years using a metal detector and sifting the sand for lost riches, Bay News 9 reported

He searches almost daily for in an attempt to return lost items to their rightful owners.

The latest ring he found. The one with the name “Oldulia” and the date “12-25-55” engraved on it, is special. He posted a photo of it on social media.

"If I could reunite it with at least their family members, I'd just be so overwhelmed," DesErmia told Bay News 9.
