This would be a nice way to ring in the new year.

A bank in southwest Florida plans to surprise selected ATM users with bonus cash on New Year's Eve, WFTX reported.

Patrons at the Sanibel Captiva Community Bank will receive an undetermined amount of $50 bills instead of $20 bills, the television station reported. The promotion is part of the River District Alliance’s New Year’s Eve Downtown Countdown.

"We are a proud sponsor of the River District Alliance and the work they do to bring great events to downtown Fort Myers. We like to show our support by doing something unexpected and welcome, especially given the time of year," Amy McQuagge, Sanibel Captiva Community Bank vice president, told WFTX. "In the past we've had such a great response with our $20s-for-$50s ATM swap, we thought why not do it again to give back to the community we love."

The ATM is located in the historic Edison Theater building in Fort Myers, the television station reported.
