The trailer played during broadcasts of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup final between the USA and the Netherlands, and was also released online.
"Mulan" tells the story of a young Chinese woman who, in order to save her ailing father, impersonates a man and joins the military in his place.
The upcoming movie is a remake of Disney's 1998 animated movie of the same title. It joins other Disney animated classics recently turned into live action films, such as "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin" and "The Lion King."
Many who viewed the trailer tweeted their reactions.

I have to admit I have been tuning out everything about this live-action version of Mulan out of anxiety that it will be done wrong (the rep sweats are real!)... but that trailer looked pretty good.

Some seemed disappointed that one character from the 1998 film appeared absent: Mulan's small dragon sidekick, Mushu.
