A deli worker was fatally shot Tuesday while making sandwiches in the Bronx, police said.

A deli worker was fatally shot Tuesday while making sandwiches in the Bronx, police said.

The 20-year-old employee was taking care of customer orders when he was shot, WPIX reported.

The deli worker was first shot in the face then shot in the back, WABC reported.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An 18-year-old man and a woman in her 50s ran from the scene, but were taken into custody shortly thereafter, WABC reported. Investigators found a weapon at the scene.

The woman was upset the clerk would not sell her a loose cigarette, WABC reported. She called the man to the deli who then shot the worker, WABC reported.

This is the second deli worker to be fatally shot in the Bronx in less than a week.

Yehya Almontaser, 34, was shot in the body and face Friday night at the B&A Gourmet Deli, WNBC reported.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the shooter in that incident. Police released video Monday of the suspect from after the shooting.
