When you're a member of an honor guard, you lower the flag for almost nothing, not even to stop and tie your shoe.
But a child in Texas wanted to make sure that the man carrying the American Flag didn't trip, so he ran out in the middle of a Fourth of July parade in Arlington to make sure the man's shoelaces were secure, KXAS reported.
The photo of the boy identified only as Josh is now going viral, KDFW reported.
The boy's selfless act caught the attention of the police department's chief of police who thanked him for looking out for the honor guard, KDFW reported.
