Jermaine Bell has finally gotten his birthday trip to Walt Disney World.

The Jacksonville, Florida, 7-year-old's family had been saving money for more than a year for his birthday trip, but when Hurricane Dorian threatened parts of South Carolina when he was visiting his grandmother last month, he decided to use that money to help feed evacuees as they left their homes escaping the storm, WJBF reported.

On his seventh birthday on Sept. 8, Jermaine was surprised by cast members and the mouse himself, Mickey Mouse, who presented the child with a free trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

"Really excited. Cause I wanted to go to Disney in a long time," Jermaine said when he found out about the surprise trip.

Jermaine's mother, Lauren Creech, said, "Never in a million years did could we have imagined anything like this from him, just, you know, coming up with an idea to help someone else, so it really does instill in him that when you do good, good comes back to you."

This past weekend, the good came full circle as Jermaine was able to visit all four theme parks as part of a VIP getaway, Disney Parks officials said.
