According to KNBC-TV, Ryan Michael Reavis, 36, was charged earlier this month with distribution of fentanyl resulting in death and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances resulting in death, the U.S. Attorney's Office in California's Central District said. The Lake Havasu resident also faces a charge of illegally possessing a firearm as a felon, KNBC reported.
The news came less than two weeks after 28-year-old Cameron James Pettit, of West Hollywood, entered a not guilty plea to the same drug-related charges, KNBC reported. Also facing charges is Westwood resident Stephen Andrew Walter, 46, whose arraignment is set for Oct. 31.
Authorities believe the suspects distributed counterfeit, fentanyl-laced oxycodone to Miller, whose real name was Malcolm James McCormick, shortly before he died Sept. 7, 2018, the station reported. Officials said the 26-year-old, who had fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol in his system, died from an accidental overdose, according to The Associated Press.
