Saturday looks to be the best day of the weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day, because the forecast for Sunday’s holiday calls for cloudy skies with a chance of rain.

And cooler-than-normal temperatures will continue throughout the period.

Friday is expected to be rainy, with a chance of showers, particularly before 3 p.m.

The high will only make it into the upper 40s, well below the average high for this time of year in the low 70s.

A Freeze Warning will be in effect overnight Friday into Saturday morning with lows reaching the high 20s.

The Miami Valley will see widespread frost, the National Weather Service reported.
