The person who was found dead after a vacant house fire almost three months ago in Springfield has been identified at Mark Dcoy, 52, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Dcoy was found dead around 2 a.m. on Aug. 23 in a vacant house in the 200 block of South Yellow Springs Street, according to the Springfield Fire Rescue Division.

Firefighters had to force their way into the boarded up house to fight the heavy fire, which had already made its way from the first floor to the second floor and attic, and used a defensive attack to extinguish the fire, the fire division said.

Dcoy was found dead on the first floor before firefighters were forced to retreat.
