Deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted in attempting to locate the suspect, but were unsuccessful.

Investigators said they have an idea who the suspect is because he left his cell phone behind inside the vehicle while he ran from the crash.

Clark county pursuit
Troopers with the state patrol have called off a search in Clark County for a man who ran from them after crashing his vehicle while trying to elude a traffic stop.
Clark County sheriff's deputies joined troopers along Lower Valley Pike, in the area of state Routes 4 and 369 (South Tecumseh Road) for the man. They seized the man's vehicle, but did not find him after searching a wooded area in the vicinity of George Rogers Clark Park.
A trooper tells us the pursuit began earlier Thursday evening in Greene County on state Route 4, continued to I-70 and back onto Route 4 when he crashed.
The trooper tells us the state patrol knows who they are looking for and will get a warrant to search his address.
