Power restored to most after overnight storms, high winds

Power has been restored to most, but about 430 outages remain after overnight storms and high winds originally knocked out power to thousands.

DP&L Outages: 

172 in Clinton County

7 in Montgomery County

Duke Energy Outages: 

208 in Warren County

47 in Butler County

FIRST REPORT

There are over 3,000 people without power this morning in the Miami Valley as storms, heavy rain, and high winds move into the area.

Around 2:15 a.m., there were 2,997 outages in Montgomery County, according to the Dayton Power & Light online outage map.

DP&L also reports 171 outages in Clinton County.

According to Duke Energy, about 44 outages have been reported in Warren County near Franklin, and 47 outages have been reported in Butler County.

Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini said the outages are likely weather-related with wind gusts from the line of storms over 40 mph.
