Sunny with chance of afternoon showers; Air Quality Advisory in effect

There is an Air Quality Advisory in effect for Butler and Warren counties for all of Saturday, issued by the Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency.

The agency expects to see levels of ozone that are unhealthy for sensitive groups, so asked that residents take steps to reduce ozone creation, such as:

  • Taking the bus, carpooling or walking instead of driving
  • Refueling your vehicle after 8 p.m., avoiding topping off the tank and tightening the gas cap
  • Avoiding idling your vehicle
  • Avoiding using gas-powered lawn equipment

Today, we will start the day sunny, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Temperatures will climb to around 90 degrees.

Tonight, it will be partly cloudy but dry, with a low temperature around 70 degrees.

Sunday will be rainy, starting with a chance of showers and storms, rising to likely in the afternoon. Otherwise skies will be partly sunny, with high temperatures near 89 degrees.

During the night, we will see a chance of showers and thunderstorms under mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will fall to around 69 degrees.

On Monday, we will have a chance of showers and thunderstorms all day, gradually rising as the day goes on. By 5 p.m., showers and storms are likely, and will carry over through the night.

During the day temperatures will rise to near 89 degrees, and fall to around 71 degrees overnight.
