Starbucks to pause use of personal cups over virus concerns

Starbucks has announced that, to combat concerns around the novel coronavirus, that along with a handful of other actions it would be pausing the use of personal cups and “for here” ware in its stores.

The 10-cent discount would still be honored for anyone who brings a personal cup or asks for “for here” ware.

The company also said in a statement on its website that it would increase cleaning and sanitizing for all company-operated stores, creating plans for stores on reporting or supporting people affected by the new coronavirus, restricting business-related air travel this month and modifying or postponing large meetings at its offices.

It is unclear how long most of these measures will stay in place.
