Area faces threat of storms packing damaging winds, hail tonight

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to cross the region late this evening and overnight, and the National Weather Service predicts that some could be strong to severe.

Skies will be mostly cloudy tonight and unseasonably warm with lows in the upper 50s. Thunderstorms could include damaging winds and large hail, the NWS said, and a tornado cannot be ruled out.

It will be partly cloudy Wednesday with the chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning. The sun comes out for the afternoon, with highs around 70 degrees.

Skies will be mostly clear Wednesday night with the chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely after midnight. It will be cooler with lows in the lower 40s.

It will be partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Conditions are expected to be breezy and much cooler with highs in the upper 40s.

Highs will only reach the mid-40s for Friday, which will be mostly sunny in the morning and then become partly cloudy.
