Powerball jackpot at $317 million

The current Powerball jackpot is $317 million.

This is the fourth time this year the jackpot has gone above $300 million. The Powerball jackpot peaked at $590 million in May -- the largest jackpot in the multi-state game's history.

In August, 16 New Jersey maintenance garage workers shared a $448 million jackpot.
