Possibility of record busters tonight, tomorrow

Tonight skies continue to clear and temperatures will drop, with overnight lows falling all the way into the low-50s.

“I think it is very possible we will break the record low tonight,” said Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs. “The record low is 54 degrees last set in 1977.”

On Sunday we can expect mostly cloudy skies with a few late-afternoon and early-evening showers, and we could possibly break another record.

The record for the “lowest high” is 72 degrees and Vrydaghs is forecasting a high of only 70 degrees for Sunday, which is about 10 degrees below the average for this time of the year.

Sunday night will be mostly clear and cool with temperatures falling into the low-50s.

Monday should be mostly sunny and pleasant with temperatures reaching into the mid-70s.
