In Indiana, a Silver Alert can be issued for a missing endangered adult, missing endangered child, high risk missing person or have a mental impairment, officials said.

Officers were called to the 8000 block of Jennings Road Sunday around 8:45 p.m. after a caller spotted a crashed vehicle and tried to help the people inside.

“The caller reported that while trying to assist the occupants of the vehicle the male occupant...displayed a knife and threatened the caller,” Sheriff Randy Retter said in a prepared statement.

The man was later identified as Travis Lee, 38, of Richmond.

Police found Travis Lee around 11 a.m. in the 7900 block of Cart Road and was arrested after a running from officers.

Following the initial crash, officers from multiple departments helped search for the husband and wife.  Law enforcement used aircraft, a drone and K-9 units to help search for them throughout the night, Retter said.

Retter said officers eventually found Sommer Lee this morning at a house on Whitewater Road.  She was taken to the hospital and was treated and released.

Travis Lee is currently booked into the Wayne County Jail on charged of aggravated battery, criminal confinement, intimidation, strangulation and resisting law enforcement, Retter said.
