Suspicious packages sent to Moraine city building deemed safe

UPDATE @ 11:15 a.m.:

An “all clear” has been given at the Moraine city building after police investigated two suspicious packages sent to the building.

A worker in the building requested police to check the packages as a precaution, feeling that something might not be right.

Both packages were deemed safe and both were expected to arrive at the building.

FIRST REPORT

Two suspicious packages sent to the Moraine city building are being investigated by police Thursday morning.

Police were first requested to check out the packages sent to the administrative side of the building at 4200 Dryden Road around 10:30 a.m.

According to police scanner traffic, a medic was requested to the building while the packages were being opened.

Police confirm they are investigating the incident by additional details were not available.

Additional resources, including the Dayton Police Bomb Squad have not been requested, according to regional dispatchers.
