Power restored after large outage in Logan County

UPDATE @ 10:50 a.m.: 

Power was restored to DP&L customers around 9 a.m. Thursday after an outage knocked out service to over 3,100 people, according to online outage maps.

Additional details about the outage were not released.

As freezing drizzle and winter weather pass through the Miami Valley, more than 3,000 Dayton Power & Light customers are without power in the area of Russells Point in Logan County, according to the DP&L outage map.

In total, 3,124 customers are reportedly affected.

DP&L officials said that there is a crew on the way to the area to investigate the source of the problem.

The outage was reported at around 7 a.m., according to the outage map, and has an estimated restoration time of 9 a.m.
