Officials warn of 'Orgazmo' drug

A new legal drug labeled and sold as "Orgazmo" has health officials worried.

"The drug itself is PB 22," said forensic chemist Jennifer Watson. "The chemical structure does not meet any of the current legislation, therefore it is not illegal ... in the state of Ohio."

The Greater Dayton Area Hospital Associations is alerting doctors about the new chemical mix. The drug is another synthetic cannaboid similar to the spice compounds of synthetic marijuana, she said.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and the pharmacy board have proposed a rule banning the new drug.

"In the past, criminal chemists have been able to bypass Ohio's laws by slightly modifying the chemical compounds of banned synthetic drugs, but this new rule will also ban future alterations," DeWine said.

The Attorney General's office said the ban is hoped to be filed with the governor's office before the end of the year.
