Numerous car windows broken out overnight in Springfield

Springfield Police now report that about twenty residents have filed reports for broken car windows. Police believe all of the incidents occurred Monday night into Tuesday morning, between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. If you have any surveillance footage or tips on a possible suspect you are asked to contact Springfield Police at 937-324-7680.

FIRST REPORT: 

Springfield police are investigating after receiving at least nine reports of car windows being shot or broken out, according to investigators.

The incidents were reported Tuesday throughout the city including on Center Boulevard, Corlington Drive, East Third Street, Baldwin Avenue, East Rose Street, West Auburn Avenue, South Clairmont Avenue and Lexington Avenue.

We’re working to learn if police know who may be responsible for the crimes and whether any other people were victimized.
