Rollover crash on Ohio 4 in Dayton sends driver to hospital

Police have reopened the southbound lanes of Ohio 4, just south of Ohio 444 after an earlier rollover crash.

Investigators said the driver was transported to an area hospital but is expected to recover from their injuries.

Possible factors in the crash were not released by investigators.

FIRST REPORT

Southbound lanes of Ohio 4 are shut down south of Ohio 444 after a rollover crash Friday afternoon. The road closure is expected to last for an extended period of time, according to officials.

Initial reports indicate two people might have been trapped after the crash which occurred around 12:10 p.m. The vehicle was reportedly traveling in the northbound lanes and crossed all lanes of traffic.

At least one person suffered injuries that are believed to be serious, according to reports. A crash reconstruction unit has been requested to investigate the incident, police scanner traffic indicates.

Investigators are blocking all lanes of Ohio 4 between Ohio 444 and Harshman Road.
