By exceeding the ISO audit standard OSMI marked its sixth consecutive audit with zero nonconformances.
“OSMI was initially certified under QS9000 in 1996 and made the transition to ISO9001:2000 in August of 2005. We continued our development by transitioning to the ISO9001:2008 standard in early 2010,” said Jeff Powell, general manager of OSMI.
Under ISO, a company is audited annually in a “surveillance” mode and every third year the company must pass a recertification audit. During each audit the company’s operating processes are verified for conformity with its stated procedures.
OSMI is a large-part metal stamping facility that specializes in medium to high-volume contract stamping and toll processing of a variety of metals.
