Local company changes hands

SPRINGFIELD — The new year brought new leadership to the MacRay Co., a local sign-printing business that has been in the area for 24 years.

Previous owner Robert Yingst sold the company to Brian Roberts, the new owner confirmed Wednesday, Jan. 6.

The company serves both commercial and custom needs, specializing in signs, banners, embroidery; direct and screen printing; vehicle lettering and more, and more recently, cornhole games and supplies.

Roberts, who already owns a cornhole boards manufacturing business (Ore Boards) has worked with Yingst over the past four years for cornhole board logos.

Roberts expressed interest in buying the company and upon Yingst’s recent retirement, the two negotiated an agreement with a “seamless transition,” Roberts said.

Roberts took over Jan. 1.

“We’re going to continue business as usual,” Roberts added. “We just want to grow as much as possible.”

The business currently has six employees and a new location at 128 Eagle City Road. Visit the Web site at www.macraycompany.com or call (937) 325-1726 for more information.
