Describe what your day is like/what you do: At Springfield City School District, I manage the health and safety of 16 buildings, which includes 8,000 students and hundreds of staff members. I am lucky enough to partner with S4TS and get to organize over 3,500 students getting shoes each school year. I have the best co-workers anyone can ask for. Both of my work families are amazing! At Springfield Regional Medical Center, I am a house supervisor.
What inspired you to get into health care? I wanted to help people and give back to the community I was born and raised in.

What's a memorable experience you've had in health care? Having a non-verbal patient communicate with me in her own way when she had never communicated with anyone before.
What do you want readers to know about your job right now? Right now is a scary but proud time to be a nurse. We as nurses will be there to protect our students, patients and co-workers during this tough time — and always!
