Hazmat crew requested after crash, fuel spill on U.S. 42 in Clark County

Hazmat crews have been requested following a crash and fuel spill on U.S. 42 in southern Clark County Wednesday afternoon.

The crash was reported at the intersection of U.S. 42 and Chillicothe Pike, just south of Selma, in Green Twp. around 1:30 p.m.

Injuries were reported in the crash, which involved a semitrailer and tractor, according to state troopers. The conditions of those involved in the crash was not immediately known.

A hazmat team from the Springfield Fire Division was requested to the scene following a large fuel spill, officials confirmed.
