Longing for warmer days? The wait is over, but rain will follow.

High temperatures have been 10 to 20 degrees below normal for much of the month of May, but things get warmer today and through the weekend.

We will see mostly sunny skies today, with highs climbing to near 65 degrees. Tonight,we will see clouds gathering, with temperatures dropping to around 51 degrees.

In the very early hours of Thursday morning, we will start seeing a chance of showers, which will persist throughout the day. Thunderstorms are also possible in the afternoon. It will be a breezy day, with winds as fast as 20 mph.

Thursday’s high, however, will near 78 degrees.

Showers and storms will linger into Thursday evening, before changing to just showers as we go later into the night. Lows will be around 63 degrees.

On Friday, we will see more showers, with thunderstorms possible starting later in the morning, and a high near 75 degrees. The rain will continue into Friday night, with showers likely and a chance for a thunderstorm. Lows will be around 63 degrees.

Saturday and Sunday both bring predictions of highs around 78 degrees. Saturday looks like a 50-50 chance of showers and afternoon thunderstorms, while there’s an 80 percent chance of showers and afternoon thunderstorms Sunday.
