Former Dayton news anchor, Asa George, found dead

Former Dayton news anchor and reporter Asa George has died, according to CBS 58 in Milwaukee, Wisc.

George, 34, was most recently an anchor for CBS affiliate WDJT in Milwaukee. She left that position in February 2011, according to WDJT. She previously worked as an anchor and reporter at Dayton's WKEF.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office in Wisconsin has sealed all documents regarding George's death. The cause of her death remains under investigation. Various reports indicate she was found dead in her home after emergency crews went to her home on a welfare check.

The West Allis Police Department has not released any further information on the 34-year-old's death.

George worked in the Dayton media market from July 2004 until May 2009, according to her LinkedIn.com profile page.
