UPDATE @ 5:10 p.m.: A fire in the kitchen of a home in the 2300 block of Benson Drive has displaced both residents.

Neither was injured in the fire a Dayton Fire battalion chief said is believed to have started in the kitchen.

The battalion chief said the cause is under investigation. He declined to estimate the money damage to the structure or its contents.


Fire crews are on the scene of a house fire in the 2300 block of Benson Drive in Dayton.

The report of a structure fire in a two-story single-family residence was made just after 4 p.m.
