1 in custody, man taken to hospital after stabbing in Springfield

One person was taken into custody after a man was stabbed in Springfield Wednesday morning, according to police.

The man was transported to the hospital for treatment, said Lt. Williams. Further information about injuries were not available at this time.

The incident was reported around 7:50 a.m. in the first block of South Western Avenue.

Springfield police and medics responded to the scene.
