No injuries in I-70 accident that took 2 vehicles off road and knocked over tree

UPDATE @ 6:52 a.m.:

No injuries were sustained when two vehicles collided and went off the road on westbound I-70.

According to police, the SUV was crossing from the center lane to the curb lane when it hit a truck, taking both off the highway. The vehicles struck and knocked over a tree on top of them.

Airbags were deployed in the SUV.

The driver of the SUV was issued a fine for an improper lane change.

INITIAL REPORT:

Emergency crews are responding to a two-car accident on westbound Interstate 70 around Enon Road.

Initial reports indicate heavy damage to the vehicles.
