Crews battle Springfield fire at vacant house

Crews were called Friday night to a house fire in Springfield.

The fire was reported around 7:20 p.m. on Dibert Avenue.

There are no reports of injuries, but fire in the basement crawl space burned through the first floor of the home, according to emergency scanner reports.

Springfield police were called to assist firefighters by blocking Dibert Avenue at South Western Avenue, police Sgt. Cassidy Cantrell said.

The house was reportedly vacant.
