Houston dad listening to music in car fatally shot by carjackers, police say

Danté Green, 41, was shot multiple times around 12:20 a.m. The shooter or shooters stole his car, KPRC reported.

"He was sitting in his car playing music, just chilling out and some unknown suspects either walked up, drove up (or) rode up on a bike -- we're not really sure -- and shot him, what looks, like multiple times and fled the scene in his car," said Houston police Sgt. Matthew Brady told KPRC.

Police said Green was shot several times, KTRK reported. His mother and one of his sons were inside the home at the time of the shooting, the television station reported. Green lived with his disabled mother, who discovered his body after hearing shots, KHOU reported. She called 911.

Police are looking for surveillance video to try to identify the shooter or shooters, KTRK reported.
