“Free Till Three” is replacing Family Fun Day, which in years past included admission and a rides pass for one set price. Each year there were inevitably visitors on that day who weren’t interested in the rides, according to Dara Ferryman, the fair’s public relations coordinator. But they still had to pay the same price.
Now fair-goers can visit during these special days and then buy ride tickets or all-day wristbands if they choose. The new promotion is “a way to save some money but still be able to see the fair,” Ferryman said.
The fair’s midway will also have a new look this year as it won’t be configure in one long strip.
“We are trying to mix things up a little just to try something new,” said Ferryman. “We are hoping to make the midway closer together and more circular. So the plan is to kind of wrap around Lion’s Park.
“We’re going to try it out for this year and see how it goes.”
The Clark County Fair is also offering a handful of other discounts for fair-goers:
- Saturday is the fair's Veteran's Day. Veterans will be admitted for free with military identification.
- Wednesday is the always popular Kid's Day. Kids ages 14-and-under will be admitted for free, and all-day ride wristbands can be purchased for the discounted price of $12.
- Thursday features two promotions. For Bike Night, admission is buy one, get one free for the motorcycle's passenger. In addition, all senior citizens receive half-price admission.
