Firefighters in Clark County battled a blaze on the grounds of Mad River Adventures, a canoe livery, on Tuesday afternoon as smoke and flames could be seen from nearby Ohio Route 4.

The first calls about the fire came at roughly 3:20 p.m. and directed first responders to Mad River Adventures at 5605 Lower Valley Pike.

Initial reports indicated a large shed on the property was on fire. The flames did not reportedly spread to the office building.
