A Springfield man was arraigned Friday in the Clark County Municipal Court on a charge stemming from a stabbing incident.

Krusean Wilkerson, 30, pleaded not guilty to felonious assault from an incident that happened in March, court records show.

At the time of the incident, it was not known where Wilkerson was and a warrant was requested for him. Jail records show he was arrested at 7 a.m. on Friday. He was listed in the Clark County Jail on a $75,000 bond as of late Friday afternoon.

Officers responded around midnight on March 2 to the area of South Greenmount and Lexington Avenue in reference to a woman that had been injured during an assault, according to an affidavit filed in the case.

When police arrived, they found the victim standing on the sidewalk in front of a house in the 300 block of South Greenmount Avenue with her face covered in blood and a large cut to her left arm.

The victim was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center where medical staff found that she had been stabbed three times – once in the back of the head, once in the base of the neck and once in the upper left arm, the affidavit said.

While at the hospital, the victim told officers that her live-in boyfriend, identified as Wilkerson, got upset when she wouldn’t give him money.
