Clearcreek Twp. police removed a metal grated dog cage with a padlock, a choker chain, a “pool cue rigged with electrical cords,” pliers, the key to the victim’s apartment and a clump of hair from the house, according to a search warrant. Some of the victim’s clothes were also removed from the house.

On Oct. 16, victim’s ex-girlfriend called him and told him her current boyfriend was assaulting her. He rented a car and went to rescue her, according to court documents and Clearcreek Twp. police.
“He believed he was on a rescue mission,” said Clearcreek Twp. Sgt. Wallace Stacy.
He said he was held in the padlocked dog cage and tortured in a lawn chair, that eventually broke because of the torture. The victim said he was struck, burned, tied and blind-folded multiple times during his captivity.
This all happened in the basement of the house on East Lytle Five Points Road.
The young man identified five people, including his ex-girlfriend, who participated in the torture, according to court documents.
Christopher Edwards has been arrested in the incident. Stacy said he expects to charge more people.

Edwards, 38, was subletting the basement of the house from a woman who said she was not there during the duration of the kidnapping, according to Stacy.
Edwards has been charged with felonious assault and kidnapping and is being held in the Warren County Jail. He will be in court Oct. 29 for a preliminary hearing on those charges.
