The homeowner reportedly heard someone in his home as he was getting out of the shower. The homeowner held Moak at gunpoint while calling 9-1-1, before Moak fled in a gray Honda Pilot.
The homeowner fired several shots at the vehicle as it drove away.
Police were called to the residence and were able to identify Moak’s vehicle from security camera footage at the home.
The cameras had been installed as a result of multiple reported burglary attempts at the residence between May 4 and July 14.

Moak was detained near Forest Lake, where he flagged down a motorist to call police. Moak “tried to report that he had been assaulted and had his vehicle stolen,” German Twp. police chief Michael Stitzel said.
Moak’s vehicle later was found in a wooded area in the 1500 block of Upper Valley Pike.
Moak is currently being held in Clark County Jail on a burglary charge, according to online jail records. Bond is set at $25,000.
