Taco Bell announces return of Mexican Pizza set for May

Taco Bell has announced that after two years of clamoring from fans, it will bring back the Mexican Pizza nationwide starting May 19.

It made the announcement on Twitter and on a Change.org petition titled “Save the Mexican Pizza.” The petition garnered 171,735 supporters.

Taco Bell dropped the Mexican Pizza along with a handful of menu items in November 2020.

At the time, it said that its cancellation worked toward its pledge to decrease its ecological footprint, since its packaging accounted for 7 million pounds of paperboard per year in the U.S.
