A Western Star semi-truck with an attached crane was heading west when it went off the left side of the highway and hit the concrete median. It then went off the right side of the road and overturned, striking some trees and a fence, according to OSHP.
The semi truck came to a stop in a ditch.
The 63-year-old man driving the semi-truck was trapped in the vehicle for approximately 30 minutes, according to the patrol. First responders removed the man from the semi using mechanical means.
Medics transported the man to Miami Valley Hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
The driver was cited for failure to control.
The crash closed the right lane for around four hours while crews worked to remove the semi from the ditch and clear the scene.
Clark County, Mad River Twp., and Bethel Twp. crews were on scene as well. Huber Heights crews also sent mutual aid assistance.
No other vehicles were involved.
This is under investigation.
