Tecumseh High School scholarship recipients

The following graduation candidates accepted a minimum of $5,000 in renewable and nonrenewable scholarships:

Jonathan Brubaker, son of Frank and Teresa Brubaker, will attend the University of Akron and major in education. He accepted $6,774 from the University of Akron.

Jennifer Brucken, daughter of Peter and Kathy Brucken, will attend Case Western Reserve University and major in nursing. She accepted of $27,500 from Case Western Reserve University.

Erin Burgher, daughter of Steve and Deborah Burgher, will attend Wright State University and major in criminology. She accepted a total of $10,700 from Wright State University, Springfield Foundation and the Union Club.

Jaci Combs, daughter of Grayling and Jan Combs, will attend Northern Kentucky University and major in business. She accepted $24,000 from Northern Kentucky University.

Logan Crockett, son of Kevin and Lestina Crockett, will attend Georgetown College and major in finance. He accepted $25,000 from Georgetown College.

Chase Culbertson, son of Roger and Jennifer Culbertson, will attend Ohio Wesleyan University and major in pre-dentistry. He accepted a total of $29,750 from Ohio Wesleyan University, Springfield Foundation and the Dr. Ray Reed Scholarship.

Autumn Funderburg, daughter of April Thomas, will attend Ohio University and major in commercial photography. She accepted a total of $8,250 from Ohio University, Springfield Foundation, Tecumseh Education Foundation and the Union Club.

Jordan Gozelski, son of Tim Gozelski and Pam Nijak, will attend the University of Findlay and major in computer science. He accepted $13,500 from the University of Findlay.

Catherine Gracy, daughter of Jerry and Cindy Gracy, will attend Wittenberg University and major in early childhood education. She accepted a total of $10,250 from Wittenberg University and the New Carlisle Optimist Club.

Kellie Gruber, daughter of Bill and Robyn Gruber, will attend Tiffin University and major in communications. She accepted a total of $11,000 from Tiffin University and the Union Club.

Jeanette Hargis, daughter of Kevin and Trisha Hargis, will attend the University of Dayton and major in intervention specialist. She accepted a total of $15,750 from the University of Dayton, Springfield Foundation and the Sherry Street Scholarship.

Ashley Harness, daughter of Phillip and Valerie Harness, will attend Wittenberg University and major in geology. She accepted $18,000 from Wittenberg University.

Maegan Lewis, daughter of Terri Lewis, will attend the University of Dayton and major in psychology. She accepted a total of $12,750 from the University of Dayton, the Catholic Women’s Club, Springfield Foundation and the Tecumseh High School Class of 1981.

Stephanie Lewis, daughter of Charles and Marilyn Lewis, will attend Wittenberg University and major in pre-health. She accepted a total of $13,250 from Wittenberg University and Springfield Foundation.

Caitlin Lobl, daughter of William and Lynnette Lobl, will attend Wittenberg University and major in history. She accepted a total of $10,450 from Wittenberg University and the Springfield Youth Symphony John Smarelli Scholarship.

Michael Luttrell, son of Susan Luttrell, will attend Eastern Kentucky University and major in criminal psychology. He accepted $6,000 from Eastern Kentucky University.

Troy Markowski, son of Frank and Lisa Markowski, will attend Eastern Kentucky University with an undecided major. He accepted $6,000 from Eastern Kentucky University.

John Trent Mead, son of John and Sandy Mead, will attend Capital University and major in nursing. He accepted $8,000 from Capital University.

Stephen Perry, son of Robert and Laura Perry, will attend Pittsburg Technical Institute and major in multi-media technology. He accepted $6,000 from Pittsburgh Technical Institute.

Dallas Pritt, son of James and Kellee Pritt, will attend Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts and major in BFA musical theatre. He accepted a total of $11,500 from the Chicago College of Performing Arts, the Zeta Chi alumni chapter of Delta Omicron, the Tecumseh Education Foundation and the Tecumseh High School Class of 1961.

Derek Riffell, son of Mark and Jennifer Riffell, will attend Kentucky Christian University and with an undecided major. He accepted $5,000 from Kentucky Christian University.

Samantha Slone, daughter of David Slone and Corazon Slone, will attend Ohio University. She accepted a total of $6,000 from the Tecumseh High School Class of 1967, the O.J. Green Memorial Scholarship, the Fairborn Art Association and Ohio University.

Joel Summerfield, son of Jim and Cindy Summerfield, will attend Wright State University and major in mechanical engineering. He accepted a total of $10,700 from Wright State University, Springfield Foundation and the Union Club.

Thiti Vutisalchavakul, son of Bruce Eggleston and Chanida Vutisalchavakul, will attend Miami University and major in computer science. He accepted a total of $5,000 from Miami University and the Union Club.

Lilian White, daughter of Chad and Sarah White and Esther White, will attend Heidelberg University and major in early childhood education. She accepted a total of $16,250 from Heidelberg University, the TEA Marilue Jeffers Memorial Scholarship, Springfield Foundation and the New Carlisle Rotary Club.

Natalie Wilson, daughter of Jon Wilson and Angela Greene, will attend Bowling Green State University and major in creative writing. She accepted a total of $6,000 from Bowling Green State University and the Union Club.

The following graduation candidates accepted renewable and nonrenewable scholarships under $5,000:

Jennifer Baker, daughter of Richard and Teresa Baker, will attend Ohio University and major in marine biology. She accepted a total of $2,500 in scholarships from Ohio University, the Union Club, and the Herman D. Brosey scholarship.

Carma Berry, daughter of Jeff and Donna Berry, will attend Wright State University and major in biological science education. She accepted a total of $4,200 in scholarships from Wright State University.

Addie Biteman, daughter of Robin and Jill Biteman, will attend Northern Kentucky University and major in graphic design. She accepted a total of $4,000 in scholarships from Northern Kentucky University.

Jessica Boggs, daughter of Chris and Tonia Boggs, will attend Kent State University and major in nursing. She accepted a total of $1,000 in scholarships from Kent State University.

Melissa Brown, daughter of Tim and Lori Brown, will attend The Ohio State University and major in biology/pre-med. She accepted a total of $2,800 in scholarships from The Ohio State University and the Union Club.

Sarah Collins, daughter of Steve and Debbie Collins, will attend Liberty University and major in engineering. She accepted a total of $3,600 in scholarships from Liberty University and the New Carlisle Rotary Club.

Danielle Diemunsch, daughter of Joe Diemunsch and Tracey Cox, will attend Wright State University and major in nursing. She accepted a total of $1,000 in scholarships from the Union Club.

Alison Eisentrager, daughter of Steve and Sharon Eisentrager, will attend Taylor University and major in professional writing. She accepted a total of $4,000 in scholarships from Taylor University.

Brandon Finch, son of Kenneth and Rhonda Finch, will attend Wright State University and major in computer engineering. He accepted a total of $2,500 in scholarships from Wright State University.

Jordan Fox, daughter, of John Fox and Cheryl Fox, will attend the University of Akron and major in sports studies. She accepted $1,000 in scholarships from the Andrew Reid Memorial.

Alexandra Grueser, daughter of Thomas and Nancy Grueser, will attend Ohio University and major in communication sciences. She accepted a total of $500 in scholarships from Ohio University.

Alexandra Heironimus, daughter of Michael and Kellie Heironimus, will attend Wright State University and major in biomedical engineering. She accepted a total of $3,500 in scholarships from Wright State University and the Tecumseh High School All Class scholarship.

Matthew Lemming, son of Robert and Yvonne Lemming, will attend the University of Cincinnati and major in biology. He accepted a total of $1,000 in scholarships from the University of Cincinnati Outstanding Educator Award scholarship.

Leona McDaniel will attend Wright State University and major in cognitive neuroscience. She accepted a total of $1,000 in scholarships from the Union Club.

Miranda Mougey, daughter of Mark and Kim Mougey, will attend Wright State University and major in pre-physical therapy. She accepted a total of $1,000 in scholarships from the Union Club.

Joseph Nau, son of Kevin and Julie Nau, will attend The Ohio State University and in major business. He accepted $1,250 in scholarships from the Carl and Vernie Memorial Fund.

Alyssa Rowe, daughter of James Rowe and Aleana Rowe, will attend the University of Cincinnati and major in business. She accepted a total of $1,000 in scholarships from the Union Club.

Barbara Russell, daughter of Karl and Kelli Smith and Lita Russell, will attend Kent State University and major in architecture. She accepted a total of $2,000 in scholarships from the New Carlisle Rotary Club, the Tecumseh Education Foundation and the Roger Pankake scholarship.

Alexander Sheets, son of Mick and Pamela Sheets, will attend The Ohio State University and major in business. He accepted a total of $2,000 in scholarships from the Union Club.

Shawn Sierecki, son of George and Rhonda Sierecki, will attend Eastern Kentucky University and major in biology. He accepted the $3,500 in scholarships from Eastern Kentucky University.

Samantha Slone, daughter of David Slone and Corazon Slone, will attend Ohio University and major in studio art. She accepted a total of $1,500 in scholarships from the Tecumseh High School Class of 1967 and the O.J. Green Memorial scholarship.

Scott Snarr, son of Steve and Peri Snarr, will attend The Ohio State University and major in engineering. He accepted a total of $3,800 in scholarships from The Ohio State University.

David Turnmire, son of Dale and Tina Turnmire, will attend Clark State Community College and major in emergency medical technology. He accepted $1,250 in scholarships from the Carl and Vernie Memorial Fund.

Timothy Ward, son of Dale and Barbara Ward, will attend Wright State University and major in computer science. He accepted a total of $3,500 in scholarships from Wright State University and the Reed and Phillip Romine Scholarship.
